Home sweet Home

Hey! i am back in Singapore! Hows everyone been? i realised it has been a long time since i last updated my blog. Sorry to those who want to meet up but i have not got the time to. The past 2 weeks have been pretty hectic, been busy with Teen Games 07, managing teams for basketball and referee for captain's ball. It has been really tiring but fun.

Ever since i got back, i am still trying to deal with the weather, its real humid back here, i do miss Perth's weather abit, just abit. I should be available in the coming weeks, will be leaving on 29th of July. So will try to catch all of you before i head back, if not just wait till end of the year. Its only another six months away.

Time really flies, and four months just pass me by. Many things have happened and i have learnt more about myself during this period of time, there are areas in my life that i have to learn and change. But i do Thank God for always being there, sings "God is the strength of my heart...". A song that i want to teach yf-ers or probably share with them.

Its the GSS now! woo so many things i want to buy! The other day was with dear shopping, saw so many items that i want to get. sigh. I am so broke. Next week, going queensway to shop, anyone interested? Need to get tracks and burms.

The month of june has been an interesting month, learn a lot on LOVE. God's Love and Love for God's people. Maybe God is telling me i need to be more loving and never take His love for granted. But so many a times we all do that, dont we?

God's love is really amazing, just sharing from a passage Matt 14:22-33. Just before this was Christ feeding the five thousand, it was getting late, and Jesus was sending the multitude back. Interestingly, he asked his disciples to get on the boat to cross to the other side but he himself didnt. After finally sending the multitude away, he was praying alone and it was late at night, the boat that was out at sea was being toss around by the winds and waves, now you can imagine the fear of his disciples wondering if they would die.

Now think about it, if Christ was all knowing, why did he send them out there then? We are told later in the passage that Christ was walking on water in the storm towards them, wow. Its like Christ had purposely placed them there and now walks on water to them, what is he trying to do, showing off his power?? No, God forbids.

It is a lesson i learnt, that sometimes God placed troubles in our lives on purpose so that we will learn to lean on Him for peace and calmness. The disciples may be in trouble but at the end when Christ was with them, everything calm down. In our life, many things may go wrong, but in all of them i feel God has something to teach us, a lesson, for patience or to turn back to God. Its how we want to look at the situation and be willing to thank God for it. Well that passage included Peter, but thats another sharing. =)

Now about Love for God's people, was something i learn during brothers' retreat.
